A long overdue update to the status of the CardSpace Extension
The project FireFox extension which allows CardSpace to be used as an Identity Selector on Windows, written by Kevin Miller (with some assistance from Garrett Serack) has been given over to Axel Nennker and Andy Hodgkinson, who have been more than eager to maintain it.
Kevin has joined Microsoft last year, and become a little too busy with his new Role to keep rolling on upkeep.
Thanks Axel and Andy!

FireFox Identity Selector Extension
Windows CardSpace provides the ability for websites to request identity information. The support for using it is built into Internet Explorer, with Microsoft leaving the rest of the world to fill in the gaps on the other browsers and platforms.
Chuck Mortimore, with great diligence, has begun work on the first true, cross-platform extension for FireFox to enable interoperatability with CardSpace, and the Identity Metasystem. He's made some fantastic progress in getting FireFox up to par with that. The only down side is, that Managed Cards may take some serious, significant effort to implement. And, what if one actually wanted to use the Windows CardSpace identity selector, but from FireFox?
That's where this extension comes into play.
The FireFox Identity Selector extension implements support for CardSpace on Windows, giving FireFox parity with IE. Additionally, the extension provides the ability to plug-in other Identity Selectors, by implemeting an XPCOM interface, that contains really only a single method. This makes it trivial for the user to choose which Identity Selector they wish to use, and web pages can depend on the consistent implementation of the html elements inside the page itself.
To install the extension:
Over the next few days/weeks , more information will be released on how to implement an Identity Selector, that can integrate with this extension.
